Sabrina Risley of Behind the Moon Announces Partnership with Mark Hiatt of Business Leads of America
June 22, 2011 – Sabrina Risley and Mark Hiatt are both known as experts in their respective fields, and have built Behind the Moon and Business Leads of America into individual powerhouses of relationship-building. Rather than each “re-inventing the wheel” by adding services to their portfolio, the two have decided to join their expertise together to benefit small business owners and entrepreneurs in the Denver Metro area.
“I started Behind the Moon in 2003 in an attempt to ‘go retro’ with relationship-building,” says Risley. “In 2007, I began feeling like the baby-boomers had the right idea when it came to business lunches and deals on the golf course, and I wanted to create that environment of comfortable relationship-building for small business owners in Denver.”
As Behind the Moon continued its rapid growth, and the tough economy created a rise in small businesses and entrepreneurs, Risley began to explore the option of adding leads groups for her members.
“I knew adding a leads group format would be a great benefit for the Behind the Moon members, but I also knew that it wasn’t my specialty,” says Risley. “I gave it a go for 18 months and realized I couldn’t make it work, while still focusing on the success of our networking services. Once I began to explore some other options, I realized that my colleague Mark Hiatt of Business Leads of America was hugely successful at his own leads groups and was doing exactly what I wanted to do. The partnership seemed like a natural fit for both of us, especially since we have both built our businesses on the same theories of giving back and creating a community.”
The official partnership of Behind the Moon and Business Leads of America will provide many benefits to the small business community of Denver, including mutual discounts, an increased number of professionals and resources to advance their individual business goals and an increased presence in the business community for both groups.
“It is a very exciting partnership for both of us,” says Mark Hiatt, found of Business Leads of America. “It is great to be able to really focus on what we are each best at, and work on what we are passionate about, rather than trying to branch off into something we aren’t experts in.
