Please help me welcome Tara Geraghty as Behind The Moon's Littleton Event Host!  I couldn't be more excited to have Tara involved with BTM.  She is personable, a natural connector, has successfully built a business to 6-figures and has a wonderful story of success.  She is a mentor to many and has a great deal to teach woman with her fresh perspective on the plight of the single mother and the truth about trying to be a "superwoman."   I encourage you to subscribe to Tara's Blog to read more as she shares her story. She is a positive role model to many and quite influential in our community,

Here is Tara in her own words... 

I started my own Mary Kay Cosmetics business at 20 years of age and within 18 months, I was running a 6-figure business. I reached the prestigious $380,000 Circle of Achievement and earned a total of 5 free cars, including 1 pink Cadillac! I built my business from scratch and truly enjoy helping others do the same.

I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree from Ithaca College in New York where I studied Theater. I have built an extensive Acting, Modeling & Promotional Résumé, training at the National Theater Institute.  I feel privileged to have been given the opportunity to study with some of the best Directors and coaches in the US. I am currently signed with Big Fish Talent in Denver.  I enjoy facilitating workshops and seminars that utilize both my stage and business experience. You will find me as Emcee for a number of Colorado events and am excited to host a monthly networking event for Behind the Moon.

I often share stories from my recent past of an emotionally abusive and psychologically controlling marriage which ended in a domestic violence case and ultimately, divorce. Becoming a single mother literally overnight, I am passionate about educating women about abuse and promoting the Mary Kay Charitable Foundation in their efforts to end Domestic Violence.

On November 24, 2009, nearly 9 months after my divorce was final, my then 3 year old daughter, Emily was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, the 3rd most prevalent childhood cancer, affecting 650 children in the US each year.  I currently spend the majority of my time caring for Emily as she undergoes her cancer treatment at The Children’s Hospital in Colorado.  I share much of what I am personally experiencing on my Blog.
