December 2009 ~ 5 Reasons To Say "YES" To BTM Referral Groups

Many have asked, “What’s the benefit of joining a referral group over solely attending regular networking groups?” It’s a great question, so I’ve come up with five phenomenal reasons your business should be a part of a BTM referral group. The least we can promise is that BTM Referral Groups all lead to 3 things: More Business, More Clients, and More Profits for YOU!
Here’s a few tips for goal-setting in 2010:
1. Powerful Partnerships That Create Business. Participants in a referral group meet on a regular basis. This gives you and the other members the opportunity to really get to know one another. Fellow group members come to understand your business inside and out, enabling them to let their network know about you, your products and service. The average person knows 250 people, so if you are in a group of 15 members minimum, those numbers really add up quickly, exposing you to a potential 3,750 other people to whom you don’t currently have access. Instantly your network expands, and not just with anyone but through powerful partnerships with like-minded, serious, business owners.

2. Business Referrals That Are Golden. There is no greater business to receive than a referral. Do you remember the last time you received a referral? When someone is referred to you by a trusted friend, partner, or associate the, hesitation- or doubt- factor is eliminated. A referral is golden. It’s better than other types of leads. You have less selling to do and more easily overcome objections because that person immediately trusts you. They already know you are great because someone they trusted referred you.
3. Raving Fans and Loyalty. All members of a BTM Referral Group will get to know you and your business so well, suddenly they will become your cheering section of raving fans. Not only will each referral group member support you, but each becomes your own personal sales army as do the people they refer to you. Providing outstanding service, implementing a strategic follow up system, receiving recommendations and referrals suddenly contributes to growing your business easily and quite substantially.
4. Feedback & Support. A leads group also doubles as an idea sounding board. If you find you need help or support on how to move forward, what to do next, or any other ideas, your fellow groups members are a great support network and sounding board for you. Receiving support is essential to any business owner to help them move forward and get to where they want to go.
5. Give vs. Get Philosophy. All members will be trained to shift their focus to one of giving. It stands to reason that if members of the group are giving referrals, all members are receiving more referrals from the group than any other. A BTM referral group is a no-sales zone to group members. Of course you can do business with fellow members but unsolicited promoting or selling is not allowed within the group. This is a networking group that stands behind the philosophy that it’s better to give than get, and in return all giving equals receiving.
