Marketing is an essential and necessary element to building any business. You must start viewing marketing as a means to showcasing what you do for people. If you aren't marketing, you aren't sharing the solutions and results that you can create for others. And although many people struggle to find a consistent marketing plan that feels fun and easy, it is possible. The key is to incorporate what you love and enjoy into your marketing plan.
First, you need to know what you most enjoy doing? Writing, speaking, teaching, technology, internet, connecting? Then create a marketing plan based on doing the things you love and enjoy. If you like writing you can write articles, blogs, or a newsletter. If you enjoy speaking or teaching you can host workshops, tele-seminars and speak at local events. If you like technology and the internet, you can use internet marketing strategies and social media. If you are a connector and enjoy meeting people in person, utilize networking, referral partners and joint ventures.

To create a consistent marketing plan that you feel is fun and easy, incorporate the things you enjoy. When you start marketing in ways that really align with who you are and your natural gifts, skills, and talents, you’ll soon see that marketing becomes an extension of the services you offer.
Most importantly, you don’t have to utilize every marketing tactic, you only have to use the ones that showcase who you are and what you do. If your marketing feels hard, take a look at what you are doing? Are you trying to be a writer when it doesn’t come naturally to you? Are you networking, but find that you are truly an introvert? When we use marketing tactics that don’t fit who we really are, it may feel incongruent and we could actually hurt our marketing efforts.
Be cautious of following other people’s marketing plans. Each person’s personality and business is different so we should all use the tools and resources available to us, but use the pieces that work for you personally.
Continue to search for creative ways to market your business. When you can keep it fresh and fun, it will be a lot easier. Hold a contest or challenge, use video, do an internet radio show, create a campaign, host a party or an event, create an exclusive VIP club.
Be different, stand out, be creative, and don’t be afraid to try new things in your marketing, especially if you’ll enjoy them!
